Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry-0620 past papers helped me to gain high scores in the final examination. Examination Module
Cambridge conducts exams in two modules of coursework and externally set assessments. The syllabus is tested in six papers; paper 1 and paper 2 are based on MCQs. Paper 3 and paper 4 is theory based. For practical knowledge testing, Cambridge conducts paper 5 and paper 6. There are 45 marks in papers 1 and 2. Although papers 3 and 4 hold 80 marks. Paper 3 is to judge core concepts whereas paper 4 is to analyze extended concepts of students. There are 40 marks for the practical paper.
Module 1: Coursework
In coursework analyzing scenarios, Cambridge conducts papers 1, 2, 3, and 4. The basic purpose of conducting these papers is to assess the student’s understanding of the concepts. For paper 1 and paper 2, you need to prepare the objective questions based on the entire specimen. On the other hand, paper 3 and paper 4 consist of short and detailed questions. In these papers, students must answer questions related to the structure and can easily obtain high grades.
Module 2: Practical assignment
Students should also prepare practical concepts and have the skills to explore their careers in this era. Cambridge conducts practical exams to test the practical skills of students. These papers are completely experimental based. There are 40 marks for practical papers. With these practical examinations, students can improve their experimental skills. With practical skills, students can choose any career in this field. They also have the opportunity to move into the field of research. They can also work in laboratories and establish their career.
Grading threshold
Its grading scale is designed from A to G so that students can prepare themselves to gain high grades. These scales are designed to test different factors in students and judge their skills and abilities. Cambridge always works to update its grading threshold so that students can easily be tested and they get a chance to gain high scores in the final examination. The grading threshold for papers 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 is different. The division of marks on each paper also varied differently.
Assessment Overview
The assessment modules consist of three components. These components are designed to evaluate students’ core, extended, and practical skills. Students are required to complete projects on their chosen topics, which they select from specimen materials. Students must prepare each component individually using past papers to obtain high grades in the final examination. I reviewed the repeated questions from the specimen materials and tested my understanding by referring to past papers.
