I prepared Cambridge IGCSE Afrikaans-0512 past papers to gain high grades in final examinations. With the help of the previous year’s exams, I achieved good scores, which also helped me in my further education.
Grading threshold Afrikaans-0512
A clear understanding of its grading threshold enabled me to achieve high scores in the final examination. The grading scale of this subject is A to G. Grade is the highest grader. The grading threshold of this subject is composed of two components and both components have different grading thresholds. I scored 32 marks in component 1, and grade A was assigned to me for component 1. To gain a grade A in component 2, I scored 30 points. I prepare past papers for this purpose and understand their grading threshold.

Cambridge conducts examinations in different components so students can easily prepare each component to achieve high grades. An annual examination of Afrikaans-0512 consists of 3 papers. To qualify for Paper 1, I focused on my reading and writing skills. I prepared the whole content of the reading and writing component proposed by Cambridge. In paper 2, the examiner judges the speaking skills of students that’s why I also focused on my speaking skills so I could easily gain high grades in the final examination. Paper 5 is optional. In this paper, I focused on oral activities.
Paper 1: Reading and Writing
There are 70 marks allocated for paper 1. In this paper the weights of reading and writing are equal. Two hours are allocated for this paper. Students answered all questions in this paper in a paper book. There is no need for additional sheets to attempt questions. There is no need for dictionaries to attempt this paper. There are seven exercises for this paper. All exercises are mandatory; students have to attempt all exercises. Marks for each exercise are different.
There are 30 marks allocated for paper 2. This paper’s L1, L2, L3, and L4 weights are different. 35 to 40 minutes are allocated for this paper. Students answered all questions in this paper in a paper book. There is no need for additional sheets to attempt questions. In this paper, students must answer the questions recorded on the castle played in the examination hall. The recording is played twice for students. There are four exercises for this paper. All exercises are mandatory; students have to attempt all exercises. Marks for each exercise are different.
